Think+Up is a free online community where you can interact with experts in business and academia—the faculty, contributing scholars, graduates, and current and future students of the College of Management and Technology at Walden University. The College of Management and Technology hosts this site as part of its commitment to Walden University’s mission of promoting positive social change. By identifying important business, engineering, and IT issues, then supporting the free exchange of information and ideas about them, we are fostering a collaborative community that will improve organizations and industries to everyone’s benefit. Like our graduate and undergraduate programs, Think+Up articles, blogs, forums, videos, and discussions focus on the practical application of theoretical knowledge in real-life business situations—with an emphasis on innovation, positive social change, and corporate social responsibility. So you and your organization can be successful today and in the future. How does it work? Visitors to Think+Up can read Case Studies, blogs and forums on the latest topics in management, leadership, sustainability, technology, information systems consulting, energy efficient computing, engineering (practical) and engineering (research and development projects). Case Studies: Think+Up will present new Case Studies each month. These in-depth looks will offer insight into topics not found elsewhere as well as give readers practical tips on how to apply the new knowledge. Blogs: Think+Up has scoured the blogosphere—and our university community—to find the most relevant and straight-talking writers who are addressing the key issues in today’s business world. Read blogs on corporate social responsibility, human resources, women in business, green business, innovation and design, and leadership. Thoughts: Thoughts is a place to share your ideas with other members of Think+Up's dynamic community of thought leaders. Submit a thought regarding an item in the news, drop a link to a recent story or blog post, or pose a question you wanted answered and get feedback today. The submissions ranked highest by the community will be featured on the home page as Top Thoughts. Conversations: Conversations offers videos and podcasts from some of the best and brightest minds in management, technology, and engineering. From brief, inspirational tidbits to longer webinars, Conversations is Think+Up’s video dialogue. Forums: Traditional message forums for exchanging ideas, having debates and throwing thoughts out there to see what sticks. Join a thread, start a thread or just read through to see what’s being discussed. Featured member: Registered members who complete a full profile on Think+Up may be selected as the featured member of the community.
