Why is there no MIS program at Walden? 4 Months, 3 Weeks ago Karma: 0
As a research my next climb in education I am left wondering why Walden does not have a Master in Information Systems degree. I search far and wide, but there is no program that really addresses my needs presently available at Walden. I am a person that will have a background in business and a MBA, but I am very curious about the Computer Science. I was wondering if there would be interest in the student body for the development of a Master's in Information Systems degree. I would like to read other's thoughts on this topic. I personally think there is a market segment out there of people that have a business background that might be wanting to switch career fields and would like to get a MIS from Walden. Please tell me what you think.

Admin,

Thanks for sharing the link, but that is not technical enough. It does not provide any hands on work in databases or coding. I am wondering why Walden does not have a Master's in Computer Information Systems that is similar to the BA degree that they offer?

A program that would be for people that are looking to get similar skills as their BA program, but without taking another 4.5 years to complete. I have researched other online universities and most offer this type of program.

If Walden does not offer this type of program, do you think they would be open to creating one?

Thanks again.

Perhaps Walden's MS in Systems Engineering or MS in Software Engineering will meet your test:
